First Aid Training |Basic Life
This course is is designed to teach you the skills required to comfortably and effectively offer CPR and First Aid in a real-life scenario for all health care professionals and other workforce disciplines to be trained as first aiders and be able to carry out first aid duties in the event of workplace accidents in line with Organizational Policies and NICE Guidelines
Chapter 1 : Definition and statistics
Participants will learn what first aid is and gain knowledge on the statistics surrounding work place first aid.
Chapter 2 : Delivering First Aid to a casualty choking
Participants will gain knowledge and awareness of a casualty presenting with a shock attack and deliver first aid.Participants will be able to gain knowldge on recognising when a casualty is choking if its minor or severe and the steps to take to rectify it.
Chapter 3 : Delivering First Aid to a casualty having a heart attack
Participants will gain knowledge and awareness of a casualty having a heart attack and deliver first aid.Participants will be able to tell and recgonise heart attack symtomps.
Chapter 4 : Delivering First Aid to a casualty having a shock attack
Participants will gain knowledge and awareness of a casualty having a shock attack and deliver first aid.Participants will be able to tell and recgonise shock attack symtomps.
Chapter 5 : Patient Centred Care and Care Planning
It’s important to focus on the person rather than the illness.Each person with dementia will change and react to their difficulties in a different way.It is very helpful to know about a person. This will help to think about what the person could be experiencing.Finding out all about a person’s life is very important.
